In proximity to the nature reserve of the Delta del Ebro is L Ampolla, a small and charming Catalan fishing village. The town is the northern entrance to the Natural Park of Delta de l'Ebre. Popular with bird watchers, the Delta del Ebro estuary boasts a wealth of wildlife and offers fantastic trails and tracks for trekkers and cyclists.
In spite of the increasing tourism, L Ampolla remains a typical marine town. Although the town does not have the special and appealing city center, its extraordinary location is something to behold. L Ampolla is flanked by a steep coast in the north and the even terrains of the Delta in the south. The expansive beach del Arenal is great for the young ones, for it has calm and shoal waters.
