Cambrils

Cambrils is a well-known fishing town on the Costa Dorada (Golden Coast), 15 minutes south of the active town of Salou and the historic Roman town of Tarragona, while just an hour away from Barcelona. Buses and trains are available from Cambrils port to all major cities. The town of Cambrils is located along the sea front so naturally, it has fine beaches and sands families can take pleasure in. However, Cambrils is a place not only for families but also for couples, singles and groups of friends.

Once a small fishing village, Cambrils has grown and developed into two sections. In the heart of the town center is a large indoor fish market, where a superb assortment of fish is brought in daily from the local port. Of course, it is but expected that the town boasts some seafood restaurants; not just any kind, but ones that are simply excellent and highly regarded at that.

Cambrills , despite its being a pulsating tourist resort, has been able to retain its cultural and olden charm. It provides an ideal harmony for those holiday makers who like tourist facilities like hotels, beach resorts, shops, bars and restaurants, mixed with some local culture and history.

Windsurfing is a common activity in this town, and is very well the venue where the water sport can best be enjoyed. Cambrils has the busiest windsurfing area primarily because of the good winds blowing into its waters. Likewise, sailing schools are offering courses there for those just starting to learn. Diving is also a popular activity -- professional divers in the area can be hired so they can teach and assist you during your dive, whether it’s your first or not! Apart from these water-based activities, land bound activities are many as well. Guests can enjoy trekking and communig with nature, or some horse-back riding. Golf courses are also in no shortage in Cambrils. There’s also a basketball court and a football field for group sports. Bike rentals are also available.
