Leisure Attractions

With its 150 miles of fine sand beaches and ample range of well-priced holiday accommodations, the Costa Dorada is geared towards family fun.

The Costa Dorada has certainly become a well-known family destination. Salou leads the pack and has perhaps become the most popular family vacation spot for those with kids in tow. You and your family can take full advantage if Salou s several child-friendly resorts as well as its lovely promenade lined with greenery and bursting with sites and sounds. Your children will surely have fun building sandcastles in its fine sandy beaches. Another plus to this area is the nearby world-class theme park, the Universal Studios Port Aventura . Enter and explore five different worlds, each with its own set of rides, restaurants, shops and entertainment shows. For more family fun make your way to La Pineda , home to a spectacular water park. Moving south, L Almadrava is another beach resort but perhaps lesser known giving it a much sought after feel of solitude. Other resorts include L Amella de Mar , a small fishing port characterized by romantic coves and secluded beaches and Les Cases d Alcanar, a typical seaside village armed with campsites, hotels and restaurants and of course the soft-sand covered beach.
Meanwhile, the party generation will be in their element in the resort of Sitges, where anything goes. Barcelona has everything from the theatre to abuzz street cafés to throbbing nightclubs. Salou s seafront promenade is loaded with great seafood dining spots. All manner of sports are available here, from world-class golf to sailing, boating, windsurfing, and fishing. The lovers of cultural and historical heritage, will find the old Roman capital Tarragona a fascinating place.

Universal Mediterranea is a Universal Studio's theme park and the lone operation of the group in Europe.
